Based on the DreamWorks Animation hit, How to Train Your Dragon JR. brings fire-breathing action, epic adventure and big laughs to the stage.

Hiccup is a young Viking who defies tradition and befriends one of his deadliest foes – a ferocious dragon he calls Toothless. Together, the unlikely heroes fight against the odds to save both their worlds in this wonderful theatrical adaptation.

How to Train Your Dragon JR. was created through the DreamWorks Theatricals/MTI Emerging Writers Program, a collaboration between DreamWorks Theatricals, Music Theatre International, and NBC Universal.

Auditions for this fall’s production of How to Train Your Dragon JR will be August 15th. All students should be prepared with a 30-second monologue and a 30-second cut from any Broadway or Disney song. You may also be asked to sing a selection from the show and read from the script for callback purposes.

Dates: Mondays 4:30-6:30pm, starting August 17th

Tech Week and Performance: 11/2-11/7

Grades: 2-5 (5th grade students may submit an audition for the middle school age production go Matilda JR)

Tuition: $375

Location: Stillwater Community Center, Room TBD

Tuition for all classes includes scripts, music, and materials. Parents may be asked to supply materials for costumes. Additional Saturday rehearsals (TBD) may be scheduled to prepare for upcoming theatrical performances when needed.

Payment plans are available as needed, with the entire amount being due by the conclusion of the program.
