Between the Lines JR (GRADE 6-8)
Between the Lines JR. is a new Broadway Junior show based on the novel by international bestselling author Jodi Picoult & Samantha van Leer, featuring a book by Picoult and Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, The Big One-Oh!) and score by Elyssa Samsel & Kate Anderson (Apple TV+’s “Central Park”).
Between the Lines JR. is an empowering and enchanting musical for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world. An outsider in a new town and a new school, Delilah seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood by the handsome Prince Oliver. But as the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur in extraordinary ways, Delilah realizes her dreams in the real world are worth fighting for.
Auditions for this fall’s production of Between the Lines JR will be held at a TBD date. All students should be prepared with a 30-second monologue and a 30-second cut from any Broadway or Disney song. You may also be asked to sing a selection from the show and read from the script for callback purposes.
Dates: Every Tuesday 4:30-7pm, August 17th start date
Tech Week and Performance: November 2nd-9th (official dates and times TBD)
Grades: 6-8
Tuition: $400
Location: Stillwater Community Center, Room TBD
Tuition for all classes includes scripts, music, and materials. Parents may be asked to supply materials for costumes. Additional Saturday rehearsals (TBD) may be scheduled to prepare for upcoming theatrical performances when needed.
Payment plans are available as needed, with the entire amount being due by the conclusion of the program.
