All Shook Up Younger@Part is a 30-minute edition of the hilarious and heartfelt musical with an original book by Joe DiPietro, creator of the Tony Award®-winning musical MEMPHIS.
Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, it’s 1955 and into a square little town rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Featuring mega hits from the beloved Elvis® catalogue this musical fantasy will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”
Auditions for this summer’s production of All Shook Up Younger@Part will be held during the first day of camp. All students should be prepared with a 30-second monologue and a 30-second cut from any Broadway or Disney song. You may also be asked to sing a selection from the show and read from the script for callback purposes. Please note that all students who enroll must audition and will be cast. Students must enroll in order to audition.
Who: Rising 2nd-7th grade students
Camp: June 15—19, 9am-4pm
Location: Encore Dance Studio
Performance: TBD
Performance Location: Sheerar Museum
Tuition: $400
Tuition for all classes includes scripts, music, and materials. Parents may be asked to supply materials for costumes. Additional Saturday rehearsals (TBD) may be scheduled to prepare for upcoming theatrical performances when needed.
Payment plans are available as needed, with the entire amount being due by the conclusion of the program.
