Amy Guthrie
Amy Guthrie’s passion for the arts and childhood development led her to pursue a degree in Elementary Education at The University of Kansas. With an established background in dance, she grew to love directing dance studios, teaching theatre, and producing numerous plays and musicals.
Realizing that there were not enough opportunities for creative-minded, curious young artists in Oklahoma, she founded Stillwater Children’s Theatre in 2006. Since its start, she has inspired many students in the Stillwater community with her dedication to help children explore the performing arts in a fun, inclusive environment. She strives to foster a safe space for kids of all abilities, talents, and backgrounds to develop confidence and artistic skills. Amy strongly believes that theatre teaches valuable life lessons, such as teamwork, diligence, and creativity, and encourages everyone to participate in the magic of theatre!
